It's been a few weeks of waiting but the engineer finally signed off the footings, and we were able to pour them on Friday. It was the perfect day - still, calm and dry. Three trucks of concrete and two hours later the team of Jamie (on the pump), Olly (general shovelling man), Kevin (general assistant) and Ben (chief foreman and vibrator operator!) had finished the job and earned their beer!
We're now away in the UK for the next few weeks, but Olly will be cracking on with the block-work.
