It took a while, but we finally became pretty much weather tight a few weeks ago, when the cladding was completed. It will need rendering and painting at some stage in the future, but for now we are looking to add some insulation to the inside of the house. It's been a cold winter - some -8 degree frosts, and some chilly early mornings, but as August is around the corner the lambs and calves are being born, and it's getting lighter in the morning and evenings. Still, this has nothing to do with our house build which continues slowly but surely. The big push now is to insulate and plasterboard the entire house, and hopefully also complete the ensuite bathroom. Still very much a building site, but looking back over a year it's amazing what we have achieved so far.
